Follow the path up around left, and onto, Rolling End.
A couple of steep rocky sections of path to negotiate nearer the top -
but not too difficult! From the top of Rolling End, enjoy the gentle
walk through the heather to the foot of Causey Pike.

From the col, head up the steep path to Sail summit,
then over the ridge path of Scar Crags and on to Crag Hill. Drop down
from Crag Hill to below Grassmoor, then down right on the initially
eroded path to Coledale Hause, and a junction of many path options.

From Coledale Hause, join the rocky path going down to
reach Coldedale Beck.

Cross the beck, then continue on the long walk out on
the old mine track to Braithwaite village. Once above Braithwaite, take
the path off right as it drops down the side to the road alongside
Coledale beck.
