From the roadside parking, walk past Seathwaite farm
buildings then join the path going off left alongside the cottages. The
path soon turns left through a gate then back out from Seathwaite into
Borrowdale.

The path eventually joins a track coming from
Thorneythwaite farm, which continues out to the Borrowdale road. As the
track gets nearer the road, take the footpath off to the right,
following it around to the right as it soon starts heading up, and
above, Comb Gill.

Soon after the waterfall (down to the left), the path
starts to climb right up Thorneythwaite Fell, then bears left heading
south.

Continue on the path south, gently gaining height over
boggy and rocky ground, until the foot of Glaramara rocky summit is
reached. A short easy scramble leads up to Glaramara, although the
scramble can be avoided by following a route right around the rocks.

Continue south from the summit, passing High House Tarn
on the way, finishing with a short ascent up Allan Crags. Drop down from
Allan Crags to Esk Hause area, with paths heading down into Eskdale, up
Esk Pike, left and down to Angle Tarn, straight on to Calf Cove and
Great End, with right down to Sprinkling Tarn and Styhead beyond.
