There are a couple of car parks in Grasmere. From 30
September to Easter, there is some roadside parking close to (but not
on) Easedale Road with no restrictions. The same parking is available
from Easter to September but with restricted times in force. |
|
From Grasmere village road, northern end, go down
Easedale Road, crossing over Goody Bridge then take the narrow lane
right.

Continue along the lane, heading north past Thorny
How, then bear left where the road continues up to the Ambleside/Keswick
road at Low Bridge Mill. Follow the road around the base of Helm
Crag, then left up hill at Helmside, passing a cottage on the right near
the top. The road bears left then ends at a gate.

Go through the gate and joined the path going straight
up into Greenburn Bottom. The path continues alongside the burn with
