The now familiar voice of Mac at 0530 signalled the Camera Club meeting and early morning photos. Today was a rest/acclimatisation day, so there was no urgency to pack bags and clear our tents. The temperature had dropped through the night leaving the odd patch of frost on the grass.

Today’s acclimatisation walk took us further up the ridge to a height of 4000m/13066ft, along the same route we would follow on our way to Mera. The breathing became a little difficult on this walk, mainly through being a little too quick ....... ‘Slowly, Slowly’ is the saying for good altitude acclimatisation!

We were back at camp by 1200 leaving us with another relaxing ‘cloud covered’ free afternoon. The evening followed the same pattern ..... tea at 1600, dinner at about 1900, followed by bed at 2030 ish.
