Rose to an early morning mist, which
soon cleared leaving spectacular views of surrounding mountains. It was
only a couple of hours to Tagnac, so we had a leisurely start to the
day.

On the way to Tagnac, we stopped at
a small Gompa (Temple) built into a cave, which contains three statues,
said to have been found on the Mera La. As the Statutes were being
carried down the valley, the party camped in the small cave. They found
the statues too heavy the next morning, and they have remained in the
cave since that day.

Prayers were said in the temple,
incense burnt then prayer-flags hung across the front of the temple,
after which we were heading for the small
settlement of Tagnac.

| The remainder of the day was spent
chatting and reading, that is until the light snow started, at which
point I retired to the warmth of my sleeping bag. |
