24 April - Tagnac (Camp 7 - 4200m/13650)

Today was a rest/acclimatisation day, with a walk planned for those who wished, up a ridge path behind Tagnac. Those on the walk left camp at 0945 and followed the path up the ridge. The sun was out as we set out, but true to form, it wasn’t long before the clouds soon appeared and covered the high tops.

The path soon became a little steep, but we were in no hurry, plenty of opportunity for rest-stops and photographs. On reaching the 4600m/15026ft point, it was decided we were high enough so we descended back to camp.

Light snow started again in the afternoon, so it was back into the ‘bag’ for warmth. (I avoided sleep during the day so has not to jeopardizes sleeping at night.) Tea and dinner went, and I was soon back in the tent for the night.
