Car parking is available on the left side of the road before
it starts its descent into Kimmeridge village. The area is cut into the
rocks and provides space for about 20'ish cars. (Grid Ref 918800)

From the car park, turn left and
head down the
road. Avoiding the turn off left at the tight right hand bend,
continuing down to the small village high street. Follow the country
lane to the car parking area.

Follow the
path along and through the gate into the MOD range. (The path is
marked with yellow marked posts every 100 metres. Any walkers must
remain within these markers.) Follow the path around the prominence
of Broad Bench and up the first cliff. The path goes right halfway
up, then left to above Tyneham Cap.

The path now follows
the top of the cliff before descending to Worbarrow Bay.
The final section is a little steep so care is required if it is
wet. From the beach area, the path now climbs up a steep section of
170 metre ascent to Rings Hill.

At Rings Hill,
follow the path inland, avoiding the South West Coast Path going back down
from the cliff, and continue on to Whiteways Hill. Follow the path
up to where it joins a country road, and at that point turn right and
follow a narrow track down to Tyneham Village.

Pass through Tyneham
village to the large car park, and continue south towards the public
toilets. Join a track that goes diagonally left uphill, following
the track to rejoin the South West Coast Path above Gold Down.
Continue to above Tyneham Cap, then follow the path alongside the broken
dry-stone wall to the top of Tyneham Cap.

The path now
undulates northeast above Kimmeridge Bay. Avoid the path heading
south into Kimmeridge Bay, and follow the path alongside the right side of
the field to the main road. Turn right at the road to soon reach the
car park area.
